Bringing hope and dignity to artisans through fair equitable trade
For the last 20 years we have provided fair wages and sustainable employment for skilled artisans in our workshop in Peru. Over 63 families enjoy full time well remunerated employment that allows them to provide for their children and themselves. Long term relationships have been established with families working in rural areas of the Andes allowing them to work from their villages and ensuring sustainable employment and a marketplace for their fine skilled crafts. As a small organization we embrace and promote the fair trade concept, educating our customers and producers and inspiring other businesses to adopt these socially conscious practices. Cost and pricing are agreed and shared openly and honestly, our producers can earn a fair living wage. As part of our continuous effort to help the artisan we also have encouraged the responsible use of resources and an ecofriendly production. Sanyork Fair Trade reduces, reuses, reclaims, and recycles materials whenever possible. Our respect for the artisans work and cultural identity is presented in our wide product line. We celebrate diversity. Our products and production methods respect the traditions of the local communities and honor the artisan's folkloric cultures and beliefs. At the same time we understand and embrace the influences of change due to globalization.
